II. Negative Publicity : 10:20

-What is on the internet?.

-The DJ who worked the Snowball worked Ňerotic film festivalsÓ

We are attached to the article from the Boston Globe.

-We are also on YouTube. (Keeley, Chris Chan, MassJCLers).

 

-Good Publicity: We are on the front and back of the Torch. (pictures from National Convention)

 

III. Treasury Report

- Balance- $7922 (not including Classics Day money or Classics day expenses)

 

IV. Catapult Contest Review 10:29am

-Alyssa-

How many people : 200+

10+ Schools in attendance

-We need lighting on the stage.

-We would like to re-incorporate the Clark Museum

-Hula Hoop contest was a success. Definite event for next year.

(Keeley still needs to get reimbursed for the Hula Hoops)

Possible event for States.

-Because of events people were contained and not aimlessly wandering. The staff at the school were happy with the way we respected the building. J

-Workshop was a success as well but we need to advertise for it more.

-Big Machine contest had less

-Mr. Nelson (AKF) would like to write a hard copy of contest rules to make it more clear.

Catapult rules should ALWAYS be on the website

VI. Classics Day Update 11:05

-445 people this year

-waiting for some schools registration. And more registration coming

-500+ people expected

-we need crowd control-

-Solutions?- Security from the school

-Ms. Keeley

-Connection for computer projection

-Officers Skit- Lucy and Emily will write one

-Officers help with directing people and setting up for lunch

-Event starts officially @ 10:00 am

-Sent final PDF to the national editor last night

-Emily needs articles for the next issue

-Possible date February 27 (7pm-12am)

-Hotel is reviewing the information and need to get back to Lucy

Adrian Perry is the person we worked with last year

-Possible DJ Club T - cheapest to find is $800 upgrades go by increments $200

National Candidacy : Jan 23rd

 

Updates on Convention by Zach

Where art and academic testing will be held still needs to be determined.

Worcester Art Museum tours are all set - 20 people per tour tentative.

Higgins armory is an option during the social block.

Movie in auditorium during that time.

Dance in the cafeteria.

Swimming is during the afternoon.
